Call for the admission of foreign students to the Ionian University for the academic year 2025-2026

The Board of Governance of the Ionian University decided on the announcement for the admission of foreign-alien students to the Department of Music Studies, in the Music Performance and to the Department of Audio & Visual Arts, Undergraduate Study Program, in accordance with the provisions of Article 58 of 5094/2024 (Α΄ 39), for the academic year 2025-26. The period for submission of candidacies is set from 22/07/2025 to 22/09/2025.

THE DEPARTMENT The Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University has been operating in Corfu since October 1992 based on a multifaceted five-year curriculum that covers five fields of music theory and practice

RESEARCH The scientific activity of the Department of Music Studies focuses on the one hand on the development of archival research and on the other hand on the promotion of musicological dialogue in the theoretical areas served by its curriculum

STUDIES It offers studies in three institutionalized Directions: Music Composition, Music Performance and Music Science. It is therefore the ideal combination between a University and a Academy of Music

Advanced Theories of Music (Harmony, Counterpoint, Fugue) and Musical Composition
Practice of Music Performance (Performance of musical instruments, Monody, Conducting ensembles)
Music Pedagogy

Musicology (Systematic Musicology, Historical Musicology, Ethnomusicology)
