The Department of Music Studies was established in Corfu in October 1992.

THE DEPARTMENT The Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University has been operating in Corfu since October 1992 based on a multifaceted five-year curriculum that covers five fields of music theory and practice

RESEARCH The scientific activity of the Department of Music Studies focuses on the one hand on the development of archival research and on the other hand on the promotion of musicological dialogue in the theoretical areas served by its curriculum

STUDIES It offers studies in three institutionalized Directions: Music Composition, Music Performance and Music Science. It is therefore the ideal combination between a University and a Academy of Music
