Οn Wednesday 13, May, 9.30 p.m., the Radio Night Performance “Radio Stories under the Stars” will take place for the 4th year, with radio artworks by the Students of the Course “Music and Audiovisual Media: Radio & TV Music Production” (spring semester 2026), at the University Campus (ex Mental Hospital).

The Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University is pleased to announce the 19th Audiovisual Arts Festival, which will take place in Corfu from Thursday, May 7 to Sunday, May 17.

AKOYSMATA is the annual series of events presented by the Laboratory of Electroacoustic Music Research and Applications (ΕΡΗΜΕΕ) in collaboration with the Laboratory of Performance Environments in the Arts (PEARL) at the Festival of Audiovisual Arts organized by the Department of AudioVisual Arts of the Ionian University. The program includes music by the Italian professor Lelio Camilleri and works by students of Florence Music Conservatory L. Cherubini.

On Thursday 08/05/2025 at 19:30 the opening of the Main Exhibition of the 18th Audiovisual Arts Festival, which will take place in Corfu, from Thursday 8 to Sunday 18 May 2025, will be held by the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University.

The aim of the Ionian Contemporary Animation Festival ICONA 2024 is to present the best from the field of animation from all around the world. The festival also aims to preserve and help develop the cultural heritage of animated film, contribute to creation of new films, provide ground for potential international co-productions and encourages dialogue between professionals, filmmakers and the public. Τhe opening of the 17th Festival of Audiovisual Arts (23 May – 02 June 2024), which is the central anniversary event of the celebration of 20 years of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts (AVARTS) of the Ionian University, will be held on Thursday 23/05/2024 at 19:30 in the People's Garden.

The 17th Festival of Audiovisual Arts celebrates this year the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Department of Audio & Visual Arts (AVARTS) of the Ionian University, presenting an extroverted, dynamic, and rich program of artistic, scientific, and educational events that fills the city of Corfu with images and sounds. The opening of the festival is the central anniversary event and will take place on Thursday (23/05) at 19:30 in the People's Garden.

AKOYSMATA 2023 include electroacoustic music concerts at the Ionian Academy on Saturday 27 and Monday 29 May and live electronic music concerts at POLYTECHNO on Sunday 28 and Tuesday 30 May.
