AKOYSMATA is the annual series of events presented by the Laboratory of Electroacoustic Music Research and Applications (ΕΡΗΜΕΕ) in collaboration with the Laboratory of Performance Environments in the Arts (PEARL) at the Festival of Audiovisual Arts organized by the Department of AudioVisual Arts of the Ionian University. The program includes music by the Italian professor Lelio Camilleri and works by students of Florence Music Conservatory L. Cherubini.

On Thursday 08/05/2025 at 19:30 the opening of the Main Exhibition of the 18th Audiovisual Arts Festival, which will take place in Corfu, from Thursday 8 to Sunday 18 May 2025, will be held by the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University.

The Steering Committee of the 18th Audiovisual Arts Festival (#AVfest2025) of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts, in collaboration with the ERHMEE Lab - Department of Music Studies, of the Ionian University invites students and anyone who is interested in joining the volunteers’ team. The University Gym of the Ionian University will hold its first hike on Sunday 16/02/2025, in the area of Nymphes. The Panteion University, the Municipality of Kallithea, the Kallithea Chess Club and the Korydallos Chess Club, announce the Panhellenic Inter-University Chess Championships 2024. Specifically, two events will be held, the Individual Inter-University Chess Championships 2024 and the Team Inter-University "Planted" Chess Championships 2024, on 19 December 2024 in Athens.

The University Gym, organizes the 1st University Sports Championship for all departments of the Ionian University, in the context of getting acquainted with some of the sports that exist in the University Gymnasium and invites all students to take part.

The Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE) Evaluation and Accreditation Council has accredited the Postgraduate Study Programme of Music Education of the Department of Music of the Ionian University as fully compliant to the Standards for Quality Accreditation of Postgraduate Study Programmes of the HAHE and to the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG) for study level 7 of the National and European Qualifications Framework.

The aim of the Ionian Contemporary Animation Festival ICONA 2024 is to present the best from the field of animation from all around the world. The festival also aims to preserve and help develop the cultural heritage of animated film, contribute to creation of new films, provide ground for potential international co-productions and encourages dialogue between professionals, filmmakers and the public. Extended submission deadline: 22/10/2024.

Ionian University participates for the fourth consecutive year in International Fair of Thessaloniki, which will take place from Saturday 7 to Sunday 15 September 2024 (TIF - Helexpo, Egnatia 154, Thessaloniki). The Foundation's presence in the previous three years was a great success, making its participation in the event an institution.
